With guests coming from around the world we want to make it as easy as possible for you to get to (and from us).
Airport: Kilimanjaro International (JRO) is the gateway

Easiest is via Doha (Qatar Airways) or Dubai (Emirates) — both offer single-stop routings into JRO. Ethiopian Airlines via Addis Ababa is also a solid option with shorter total travel time.

KLM flies direct from Amsterdam to Kilimanjaro a few times a week — the most efficient route. Turkish Airlines via Istanbul, Qatar via Doha, and Ethiopian via Addis Ababa all work well from major European hubs.

From the East Coast, Qatar (via Doha), Ethiopian (via Addis), or KLM (via Amsterdam) are the most direct. From the West Coast, Emirates via Dubai or Qatar via Doha tend to be smoothest.

Most nationalities require a tourist visa. Apply online via the official Tanzania eVisa portal, or on arrival with USD cash.

Strongly recommended. Comprehensive cover including medical evacuation. World Nomads and SafetyWing both offer safari-friendly options.

We recommend soft-sided duffel bags — bush flights have strict weight limits and don't accommodate hard cases well. Same-day laundry at all lodges, so pack lighter than you think.
